  • Introducing Our Huishan Campus in Wuxi

    Wednesday 4 Jun 2025

This September, Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science opens its new Huishan campus, bringing bilingual primary and middle school education together on one site in Wuxi’s Huishan District.

Covering around nine hectares, with 90,000 square meters of buildings, the campus is one of Dipont’s flagship school projects in the city. It combines the whole-person education of Wuxi Yinghe Bilingual School with the international outlook of Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science. The goal is simple: a school that students love, parents trust, teachers enjoy and the community respects.

    Outstanding teachers

The campus brings together experienced Chinese and international educators. Teaching is differentiated, so that each student learns at the right pace, and project-based learning has students work in teams on real-world problems, building creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

The teaching team balances experience with fresh energy. A third are senior teachers, including master teachers, subject leaders and award winners recognized at city or district level. More than half are experienced teachers with over three years in the classroom, and the rest are new teachers: outstanding graduates of leading universities who bring fresh ideas.

    A rich curriculum

In primary and middle school, the curriculum is built around the Chinese national curriculum, supported by two further strands:

    • The national curriculum lays strong foundations through teaching based on real contexts, problem-solving, deep thinking and active participation.
    • Enrichment courses broaden horizons, with specialist coaches and mentors, school leagues, arts performances and science and innovation challenges that help every child discover their strengths.
    • Research and inquiry courses develop wider skills through project-based inquiry, themed activities, study trips in the school holidays and community projects.

As students move into high school, they continue their education at Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science, which offers IGCSE and A-level programs alongside a wide range of clubs, academic study tours and specialist university guidance.

    A campus designed for learning

The campus is designed so that every space and landscape supports learning:

    • Classrooms and labs: smart boards, imported furniture and air purifiers in every classroom; biology, chemistry and physics labs equipped to international standards; and a dedicated STEAM building for science and innovation courses at every level.
    • Boarding and dining: a canteen with menus planned by nutritionists, serving Chinese and Western meals three times a day, and four-person dormitory rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning, supervised by residential staff.
    • Sports and the arts: a heated swimming pool, basketball hall, fencing hall and soccer field, plus a black box theater, music practice rooms and art, dance, instrument and chess rooms, supporting everything from daily training to musical theater and music exams.
    • Safety: a comprehensive security system with full camera coverage.

    Proven experience

The Huishan campus draws on Dipont’s long experience in education. Since 2004, Dipont has supported 39 international curriculum centers in 31 schools across China, and has founded seven schools, including Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science, Wuxi Yinghe Bilingual School and Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science.

In primary and middle school, the campus follows the approach of Wuxi Yinghe Bilingual School, which has achieved strong results in its first six years. Its primary students rank highly in city and district exams, and for several years more than 95% of its students have gone on to academic high schools. In 2024, 98.5% met the academic high school entry standard.

The campus leadership team brings together extensive management experience, working closely to support teaching quality, teacher development and each student’s individual growth.
